University of Lagos Admission Requirements

If you wish to study at the University of Lagos, you need to meet the stipulated admission requirements for admission into the school. Besides meeting the minimum cutoff marks for your chosen course, you must possess at least five (5) credits in your O’level results, including Mathematics and English Language. Besides, you must have passed the JAMB Directly admission form. If you do not meet these requirements, you will be rejected by the school authorities.

The University of Lagos has published the post-UTME admission screening exercise schedule for candidates who made the school their first choice during the UTME screening exercise. Applicants must have a score of at least 200 and a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credit passes to be considered for admission.

The admission requirements for UNILAG vary for students with various qualifications. First, candidates must pass the JAMB UTME examination with at least 200 marks. UNILAG will also conduct a post-UTME screening, based on the UTME results and post-UTME performance. Candidates who meet the requirements for direct entry may have an OND, ND, NCE, or BSc degree, but must comply with the recommendations of JAMB.

However, some institutions require more than just English Language and Mathematics. For example, NDU and LAGOS accept two A level subjects, while UNN and GSU require at least one Social Science subject. In addition, some universities require two Arts and one Science subject.
